Who says stylish shoes can’t be comfortable?

I'm Helen Cheng, owner and designer of kuuru™ shoes, and I believe style, comfort and quality not only can, but should go together! kuuru™ (literally means “cool” in Japanese) shoes are designed for stylish parents looking for footwear for their babies and tots, that will take them from their early steps on through the rigors of an active preschooler lifestyle.

As a woman who absolutely loves shoes, all my life I've had to sacrifice comfort for style. So, when my daughter Sophia was first able to walk, I searched everywhere for that pair of stylish shoes, with the caveat that they had to be extremely comfortable and well-made. I was disappointed with the choices available.

Spurred by my dream to start my own business, I decided that the time was right to fill that void in the market - to design chic and stylish, yet comfortable and well-made shoes for my own children, as well as other modern tots and their style-conscious parents. I wanted to create shoes for the kids of mothers who absolutely love shoes!

So, I personally designed the look and style of each and every shoe. I took a classic design and added distinctive colors to come up with a modern stylish take on children’s footwear. All of the shoes have clean lines, bold colors, and defined stitching. They are designed to be extremely comfortable for babies and tots in their early walking years to advanced walkers.
